The DigiPen Nexus Richardson Location was conceived, planned, and built with the close collaboration of many local partners, business leaders, and government organizations. We’ve assembled a special Program Advisory Committee with industry experts from the Dallas-Fort Worth area who meet once a year to ensure that the education delivered at this Nexus is what employers are looking for locally.
We’re a member of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and have collaborated with the City of Richardson about our place and contribution to the Innovation Quarter and the broader Dallas high-tech ecosystem.
City of Richardson
Our smooth transition to the South is largely thanks to the representatives from the City of Richardson who have collaborated with us on the conception of the Nexus program from the very start. The STEM community in the Richardson, Texas area is built on long-term planning around its Innovation Quarter (Richardson IQ). The City of Richardson brings together members from all over its STEM community in monthly “IQBrews” at both The Drawing Board and online for networking, community building, and the exchange of innovations and ideas. We are proud and grateful for DigiPen Nexus and Nexus students to be a part of both the Richardson and Richardson IQ communities.
The Drawing Board
We are thrilled to be partnering with The Drawing Board as the facility of the DigiPen Nexus Richardson Location. At this co-working space, DigiPen Nexus students get to experience a typical working environment of a game studio in the game industry. The Drawing Board brings together a community of small business owners, entrepreneurs, indie developers, and even established businesses to work collaboratively in a savvy and flexible workspace focused on support, creativity, networking, and innovation.
